16:00–17:00 Precision Machinery Research & Development Center (PMC)
Founded in 1993 by the government and the machine-tool industry, PMC is one of the most important bridges between policy and Taiwan’s machinery sector, having tested more than 19,000 machines, the highest count anywhere in the world. The visit covers two things: the current state of Taiwan’s precision machinery and smart manufacturing, and PMC’s own R&D in machine networking, sensing systems and smart robotics, including Taiwan’s first fully software-controlled dual-arm robot. -
